Waterslide Decal Paper (Inkjet, White) — A3 11.75 x 16.5 in, 20 Sheets
Product description
What you get: a pack of 20 A3 waterslide decal sheets (11.75 x 16.5 inches) with a bright white transfer surface formulated for inkjet inks. The sheets are sized for larger artwork or multiple smaller decals per sheet.
Materials and capability: the paper features a white backing layer to deliver opaque, saturated colors even on non-white substrates. It accepts high-resolution inkjet output and is designed to render strong color density and fine detail when printed at high-quality settings.
How to use it: print your design using an inkjet printer set to the finest photo or high-dpi mode, allow ink to dry, then protect the printed side with multiple, very light coats of a compatible clear sealer. After the clearcoat cures, soak the decal in water to release it from the backing and slide it onto the target surface. Smooth out bubbles, let it dry, and optionally finish with another protective clearcoat.
Suitable surfaces: works well for ceramics, glass, jade, many metals, and a variety of plastics—provided that the substrate is clean and, in some cases, white or lightly colored to avoid showing through. The white base of the paper helps maintain color saturation on most backgrounds.
Notes for best results: trimming must be neat to avoid visible borders; precise cutting tools or cutters help a lot. Clearcoat choice and application technique are critical—use light, even layers and allow adequate curing time between coats and before handling.

Worked very well
Decorated a model rally car; the sheet is slightly opaque so a white base is recommended.

Great results with careful prep
Set the printer to the highest photo or dpi setting and let prints dry before sealing. Apply very light first, second and third coats of a good brand clear sealer, allowing at least an hour between coats and a full-day cure before use. Test on a scrap area to confirm no tackiness; prep and clearcoating make the difference.

Not quite what I pictured
These deliver rich, saturated color thanks to the white base, but achieving clean, professional edges is difficult without very precise cutting. Colors are excellent and more opaque than the clear option, yet unless you have a foolproof trimming method or leave a white border, edges can look rough. I eventually reverted to the clear sheets for simpler shapes.
