9 x 12 Glass Oil Paint Palette — Neutral Gray Travel Kit
Product description
Complete travel kit: the set contains a 9 x 12 inch toughened plastic palette, a 9.2 x 13 inch airtight container, 40 sheets of disposable palette paper, and two high-density sponges. The compact case is made to protect your mixed colors and simplify transporting paints between locations.
Durable construction: the mixing surface is made from high-strength tempered/toughened plastic, treated for impact resistance and durability. It’s safe to handle and has a smooth edge that won’t cut fingers. Dried acrylics tend to peel away from the surface, while oil paints can be removed with appropriate solvents or scraped off with a palette knife, cutting down cleanup time.
Maintains moisture: after working, place the palette or paper into the airtight container and secure the lid. The sealed environment helps retain humidity, slowing drying and limiting oxidation so paints remain workable for days and sometimes weeks depending on conditions.
Two practical methods of use: moisten a sponge so the disposable paper slowly absorbs and releases moisture to keep paint hydrated, then lay paint directly onto the paper for painting and seal when finished. Alternatively, put paint on the palette surface and close the case with a damp sponge inside. Disposable sheets are handy on the road; the palette face is convenient for studio or home use.
Media compatibility: designed for water-based media including watercolors and acrylics, and suitable for oil painting when used with appropriate solvents and removal tools. The neutral gray backing helps with color judging in varied lighting and workflows.

Box arrived damaged
Everything else looks great, but the box lid arrived cracked. I'll update my rating if that fault is fixed.

Does the job
Simple and effective — keeps paint fresh for several days as intended.

Not airtight!
The tempered glass palette itself is very good, but the container is not airtight, so paint will not stay well sealed. The lid does not properly seal.

Case feels flimsy
The glass/toughened palette is nice, but the container doesn't seem airtight. The plastic feels thin and won't hold a seal the way I expected. I thought more of the kit would be solid plastic or glass.

Pleasantly satisfied
I've used this for a couple of months and it's been reliable. It snaps on and off much easier than other wet palettes I tried. I used it for acrylics and now oils; the lid seals tightly and my paints stay usable longer when I have to step away for a few days.

Portable and practical
The neutral gray backing is a helpful touch and the overall build feels solid. The 9x12 fits nicely in my backpack for plein air sessions and even fits on the shelf in my small studio freezer. The plastic latches seem okay; if they wear out I can secure the lid with a silicone band.

Handy size for travel and classes
Excellent set. I use the palette surface for oils. The dimensions fit my travel crate and it sits neatly in my freezer between sessions. Everyone who sees it asks about it; I'm very happy with the utility.

Solid seal and sturdy case
Very pleased so far. Excited to store started palettes overnight to check how the paints feel the next day. Oils are costly, so reducing waste is a major plus.

Transforms my weekly class routine
I paint oils and bought this for a pochade box on a plein air trip, but it arrived late. I then used it for a weekly portrait class and it’s been great. I work on the palette in the case, then seal it when I finish—no more disposable paper waste and I can continue the same paints at home. The compact size sits flat in my art bag and is easy to transport.

Seal not as tight as hoped
The palette surface and gray backing are fine, but the box isn't as airtight as I wanted. Overall the quality is okay but doesn't quite match my expectations.
