Mackays Lemon Curd — Traditional Scottish Lemon Preserve
Product description
Made in the Dundee area of Scotland, a region famous for citrus preserves, this lemon curd is prepared using traditional methods in copper pans to capture a homemade character.
The recipe calls for real citrus fruits sourced from Spain, yielding a pronounced, tart lemon aroma and flavor. The result is a smooth, creamy curd that spreads easily.
Use it on toast, English muffins, biscuits and muffins, pair it with cheese or pastries, or employ it as a filling for cakes and tarts. Its texture makes it suitable both as a topping and as an ingredient in baking.
The product is sold as a single jar (pack of 1). It is labelled gluten-free, wheat-free and nut-free, and is suitable for vegetarians. Note that packaging may vary between batches.

Rich, buttery flavour worth the extra
A superbly tasty lemon curd with a refined flavour. It seems made with butter rather than cheaper fats, so I think the slightly higher cost is justified.
