ANYCUBIC PLA Filament 1.75mm — Texture Grey, 1 kg Spool
Product description
Includes: one 1 kg spool of textured grey PLA filament, vacuum sealed with desiccant and labeled for printer identification.
Material & size: natural PLA chemistry in a 1.75 mm nominal diameter, manufactured to a tight dimensional tolerance of +/- 0.02 mm for stable extrusion and consistent layer fusion. The textured grey pigment gives a subtle surface grain that helps mask layer lines and enhances photographic detail.
Smart identification: each spool is fitted with an intelligent identification chip that pairs with ACE Pro machines to transfer spool data and streamline print setup when used with compatible hardware.
Manufacture & packaging: filaments are fully dried prior to packaging to reduce moisture-related defects, then vacuum-sealed in nylon bags with desiccant packs. The spool bore and winding profile are designed for smoother feed; a larger inner diameter aids unspooling on many setups.
Printing behavior: formulated for low shrinkage and predictable bridging, the PLA performs across standard PLA temperature ranges and printing speeds. It aims to produce minimal stringing and good bed adhesion under appropriate bed prep and temperature settings, making it suitable for both functional pieces and display models.
Pros
- Tight diameter tolerance for consistent extrusion
- Vacuum-sealed and dried to reduce moisture issues
- Textured grey finish highlights surface detail
Cons
- Some spools can be wound too tightly for certain feeders
- A few users report occasional feed interruptions
- Not immune to humidity if left unsealed
VerdictA reliable PLA option for everyday and detailed printing: steady diameter control, careful drying and packaging, and a textured grey finish that highlights surface detail. Users report generally clean extrusion and low warping, though a minority have experienced feeding issues tied to spool winding or compatibility with automatic material systems.

Prints come out flawless
Excellent filament quality — my projects printed perfectly and I'd buy it again.

Clean printing and attractive texture
Printed clean on my machine. The textured grey finish looks nicer than flat grey and adds subtle interest without being busy. No surprises, just consistent performance.

Worth to buy & Really nice 5/5
Arrived intact and functioning
Good quality filament received without damage and prints well.

Texture grey showcases detail and prints consistently
The textured grey photographs nicely and reveals surface detail well. Diameter tolerance held throughout the spool, avoiding under-extrusion mid-print. It prints across standard PLA temps without much tuning and large flats stayed mostly warp-free.

Good everyday filament, watch the spool
Works well for my entry-level printer and needs little fiddling. Beware of humidity and some poorly wound rolls — I once came back to a stuck head because the filament crossed over itself on the spool.

Consistent, low-string PLA for prototype work
I bought this for my husband’s prototype prints and it delivers reliable results. The 1.75 mm diameter with ±0.02 mm tolerance gave even extrusion, the 1 kg spool unwound cleanly, and vacuum sealing kept the filament dry. With a 60°C bed we saw clean layers and very little stringing.

@mazon is why I'm broke! 1/5
Spool winding caused feed errors with AMS
Four rolls bought over time all jammed when the filament was wound too tightly. The automatic material system couldn’t pull the stuck windings free, stopping prints. When it feeds it prints well, but the winding problem ruined several runs.

Unreliable — clogging and adhesion problems
After years of printing this was the worst experience: flow fell off mid-print and the filament began extruding like fluffy residue. I tried different settings and nozzles but long prints failed and earlier attempts suffered bed-lift and adhesion issues.

Works great for small and very large parts
Performs wonderfully and is quite durable. I use 205°C on the hotend and 60°C for the bed for both tiny scales and very large components.

Great filament, using multiple rolls
Really good PLA — I’ve used about three rolls so far and am printing a stadium model. Looking forward to the finished piece.
