Solid spruce top: The face of the instrument is fashioned from selected solid spruce, chosen for its strength and acoustic responsiveness. That spruce soundboard promotes a focused, richer tonal character while resisting seasonal movement.

Maple back and refined grain: The back (and ribs) are constructed from solid maple, with visible grain that adds visual elegance and helps control internal resonances. The combination of spruce and maple balances projection with warmth.

Traditional fittings and durability: The scroll is carved from solid maple for structural integrity, paired with precisely made ebony tuning pegs that provide smooth, stable tuning. These hardwood fittings are chosen for longevity as well as visual contrast.

Player-friendly ebony fingerboard and acoustic shaping: A dense ebony fingerboard gives a silky surface for accurate intonation and easy shifting. Hand-cut f-holes are positioned and shaped to aid airflow and projection, and the bridge is individually carved and set to match each instrument’s arch for responsive, harmonically rich tone.
