Donner Solid Wood Piano Bench with Lift-Top Storage — Black

Product description

Function and storage: This piano bench features a hinged lift-top seat that opens to a hidden compartment for sheet music, method books, or small accessories. The flip-top is supported by a simple hinge design for easy access and stable use.

Construction and capacity: Built from solid wood for durability, the bench supports up to 300 lbs (136 kg), making it suitable for one person. The surface and frame are stained in black to match most digital pianos and keyboards.

Comfort and finish: The seat is padded with high-density foam that retains resilience during long practice sessions. Some models come covered in a soft fabric finish. Rubber pads on the feet prevent slipping and protect flooring.

Assembly and components: The four legs attach with screws; the package includes a full set of fasteners and an installation tool so you can assemble the bench yourself. Legs are removable for transport or storage, and overall assembly is quick and straightforward.

Pros

  • Solid wood construction with 300 lb capacity
  • Hidden lift-top compartment for scores and books
  • Dense foam seat for long-term comfort

Cons

  • Storage cavity is relatively compact
  • Upholstery finish can vary between units
  • Requires simple assembly

VerdictA practical, well-built bench for casual players and students. The solid wood frame and dense seat pad deliver comfortable seating and long-term reliability, while the flip-top compartment keeps scores tidy. Assembly is straightforward with the included screws and tool. Interior space is modest, and a few buyers noted variations in upholstery, but overall it’s a sturdy, attractive option for a sin

    Neat look, easy build

Well made and attractive. You assemble it yourself and it looks pricier than it is.

  3. Kelsie 5/5

    Solid, quick to put together

Paired it with my daughter's keyboard and it assembled in under 10 minutes. Very sturdy and I like the compartment beneath the seat. A bit compact but perfect for her—would recommend.

    Great product, easy assembly

Very good build and straightforward to put together. I hesitated at first because of the cost, but it's worth it.

  6. Jo 1/5

    Wobbly and wrong upholstery

Feels shaky and the top is velour rather than faux leather—made it unusable for me.

  8. MME Natalie Berry Minder 5/5

    Fits keyboard stand well

Matches our Casio setup perfectly. No instructions included but assembly was fairly easy. I wish the interior was slightly larger, but it holds sheet music fine.

  10. P.R.A.B. 5/5

    Matches Donner keyboard nicely

Bought it to go with my Donner keyboard. The hinged seat is convenient; the compartment is a bit small for many thick books but adequate for most scores.

Nice-looking stool at the right height and comfortably padded. The storage compartment is useful and the whole piece is nicely made.
