Micro Headstock Tuner — Clip-Free Headstock Mount
Product description
A stealthy, low-profile tuner designed to sit out of sight on the back of a headstock. The unit uses a piezo vibration pickup rather than a microphone so it reads the instrument’s vibrations directly, improving accuracy in noisy environments. A tri-color backlit display shows out-of-tune (red), near (amber) and in-tune (green) indicators for quick visual reference. The tuner accepts a wide calibration range (410–480 Hz) and powers from an included CR2032 battery with an auto-off feature to conserve life.
Instead of a clamp that grips the headstock edge, this tuner mounts using a clip-free bracket that screws into a standard tuning-machine screw hole. The necessary screw is supplied, and the mount is padded to protect the finish. The compact housing is lightweight and low-profile so it can remain on an instrument while stored in its case or left in place during gigs.
A 360-degree swivel allows the display to be oriented for left- or right-handed players and for different headstock shapes. The unit’s durable plastic housing and small footprint make it suitable for acoustic guitars, electric guitars, basses, mandolins, banjos and ukuleles. Some players will find the fit ideal; others with unusually curved headstocks or large truss covers may need to check clearance before installing.
The package includes the micro tuner, the clip-free mount that attaches to a tuning-machine screw hole, and the CR2032 battery installed. No additional tools beyond a small screwdriver are normally required for installation. The tuner also includes basic metronome functionality in the same compact housing for added practice utility.

VerdictThis compact headstock tuner blends into the back of your instrument and provides reliable vibration-based tuning via a piezo transducer and wide calibration range. Works well and installs without fuss
I fitted this to my PRS S2 and I’m pleased. It tucks neatly between the tuners on the back of the headstock, powers up reliably and seems accurate. Installation was straightforward and the supplied screw tightened without issue. You don’t need to over-torque it; a snug fit is enough. A handy alternative to a regular clip-on.

Good quality and accurate
An affordable tuner that delivers accurate readings for live shows when you’d rather not use a pedal. Responds well even with background noise.

Love how it stays on the guitar
Great little unit. I appreciate that it remains attached to the instrument so I’m not hunting for a tuner. I hesitated about swapping a tuner screw but the included screw is slightly longer and fits securely without trouble.

So handy I bought extras
I bought two because they’re so convenient. The small profile doesn’t spoil the guitar’s look, battery life is good, and tuning accuracy for guitar and bass is reliable. It’s ideal for leaving on multiple instruments.

Compact, accurate and very convenient
I use these on acoustic and electric instruments and they tune quickly and accurately. The small size keeps them out of sight, the clip is secure and the display readable from different angles. Having more than one means no swapping between guitars—very handy.

Solid design that avoids common hinge failures
This solves the usual pivot-weakness problem you see with many clip-ons. It fastens to the headstock and rotates on one axis for reading angle adjustments. Minimal and unobtrusive, great if you dislike something sticking out from the end of the guitar. The display is bright and clear.

Compact and dependable for many players
I’ve tried plenty of small tuners and this one stands out for its size and consistency. It clips on without changing the guitar’s look, reads quickly, and survives band practice noise thanks to the vibration sensor. The screen is easy to read and the mount holds firm across acoustic, electric, bass and even ukulele.

Slim, reliable and well made
I like having it always on the guitar. It’s slim, solidly built and straightforward to use. Highly recommended.

Mostly accurate with one small quirk
Used on a classical guitar after returning another model. This one is noticeably more reliable for pitch, likely due to its screw mount providing a direct connection. Display is clear and compact. One oddity: the B string can flicker between F# and B before settling, which is a minor annoyance but still usable for tuning.

Tiny but impressive
Smaller than I expected but surprisingly useful. A compact marvel for musicians who want a discreet tuner.

Practical and discreet
Always within reach when fixed to a tuning post. Simple to install, orientable, and it unclips for battery access.

Clever idea but check your headstock first
Nice concept—a tuner you can always leave mounted—but it won’t sit correctly on every headstock. Buttons can be a bit easy to activate accidentally. On my Taylor 414 there wasn’t enough flat space where photos show it mounted, so check clearance around the high-E tuner and any broad truss rod cover.
