Adjustable Violin Shoulder Rest — Black, Fits 4/4 & 3/4 Violins
Product description
This package contains a single black shoulder rest designed for use with full-size (4/4) and three-quarter (3/4) violins. The unit includes a molded body with foam padding on the contact surface, two adjustable legs that change both height and angle, and rubberized end pads that meet the instrument edges gently.
The frame combines a durable plastic shell with metal mounting brackets and thumbscrews so you can lock the legs at the desired position. Rubber feet and soft foam protect the instrument's finish while providing a secure grip. The rest folds flat for storage and will fit conveniently inside most violin cases when collapsed.
To use, attach the rubberized feet to the violin's edges, then set the height and tilt so your left shoulder and chin align comfortably. The contoured upper surface supports the jaw and shoulder area to reduce tension and encourage safer playing posture. Legs are reversible and adjustable to suit various arm lengths and playing preferences.
Materials: ABS-style plastic body, foam padding on the top, metal brackets and thumbscrews, and soft rubberized end caps. Dimensions: suitable for 4/4 and 3/4 violins; leg extension range adjusts to accommodate typical shoulder and neck geometries. Care: wipe the padding and body with a soft cloth and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture.
Pros
- Adjustable height and tilt for personalized fit
- Secure rubber feet protect instrument finish
- Folds down for compact storage in case
Cons
- Padding may feel thin to some players
- Occasional fasteners can loosen if not checked
- Not as plush as higher-end foam designs
VerdictA comfortable, sturdy shoulder rest that suits advancing students and working players. It offers height and angle adjustment, reliable grip, and a contoured shape that promotes healthier posture. Some users may prefer thicker padding and occasional quality checks on fasteners are recommended.

Replacement also arrived defective
This was my second Regiux rest in a short time. The first was returned for a defect; the replacement arrived with loose thumbscrew posts that would not tighten. If you rely on consistent hardware, consider investing in a higher-quality model—cheap rests can jeopardize fit and playability.

Really pleased with the fit
Comfortable and well built. The legs collapse for easy storage and it clips on and off my violin without fuss. Fits my instrument precisely and performs like a model I owned for a year and a half that eventually lost grip. Very satisfied and would recommend it to others.

Solid performer, padding is firmer than I prefer
Good overall construction and a secure grip. The padding is a bit on the firmer side—I'd like it thicker and softer—but that’s just a personal preference. My 4/4 violin works well with the adjustable legs and it folds down neatly into my case.

High quality for the price point
Arrived quickly and I started using it right away. The build feels robust and it stacks up well next to a well-known higher-end rest. I’d recommend this to both students and more experienced players.
