Fleece Loft & Ramp Liner for C&C-Style Small Animal Cages
Product description
What’s included
- One loft and ramp fleece liner designed for C&C-style lofts (left-ramp orientation by default; reversible to a solid color for right-ramp setups). Dimensions are intentionally made slightly larger than the cage footprint to compensate for shrinkage after laundering.
Materials and construction
- Outer layers: two panels of soft, durable fleece that create a comfortable surface for small animals and help wick moisture away from the top layer.
- Core layer: a recycled denim padding placed between the fleece faces. This middle layer is engineered to absorb liquid and lock in odors so pets don’t have to stand on wet spots.
Compatibility and sizing
- Offered in multiple sizes and a rotating selection of prints to suit common C&C, Midwest, and comparable cage styles. Because cage models vary, check your loft and ramp measurements against the liner’s dimensions before purchase.
How to prepare and use
- Initial wicking: Before the first use, launder the liner and add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the wash. After drying, pour warm water slowly onto the fabric. If the water soaks into the liner, it’s ready. If it beads, repeat washing with vinegar until the liner absorbs properly.
- Daily care: Sweep or brush away droppings and loose hay every day to prolong time between washes.
- Washing routine: Frequency depends on number of animals, sex, and cage size; most households will launder every 3–7 days. Before washing, remove excess debris by brushing or shaking outside. Use warm water and a detergent free of dyes and perfumes. Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets. Add 1/2 cup vinegar in the wash to help with odor control and maintain wicking ability. Tumble dry low or hang to dry.
Notes
- The liners are reversible for ramp placement and designed to retain shape and function through regular machine washing when you follow the care instructions. Because all cages and setups vary, measure your loft and ramp layout before committing to a specific size.
Pros
- Soft, double-fleece surface
- Absorbent recycled denim core
- Machine washable and reversible
Cons
- May not fit nonstandard loft dimensions
- Can shrink if not sized larger initially
- Requires initial wicking step
VerdictA cozy, practical bedding option that combines a soft fleece surface with a highly absorbent recycled denim center. These liners are easy to launder, come in many changing prints and sizes to fit common C&C-style cages, and are reversible for different ramp orientations. Most users find them thin but effective at pulling moisture away from feet; however, some buyers report fit issues with nonstand

Very effective and easy to care for
I’ve collected several of these liners and matching beds. They’re thin but do their job — they wash easily, soak up pee, and hay brushes off with no staining.

Solid fit for my loft ramps
Fits my setup and performs well. I ordered three in different patterns and am happy with all of them.

Didn’t match my loft dimensions
Quality of the fabric is good, but it didn’t fit my 2×1 loft. The ramp-to-loft measurements didn’t align, so it either missed covering the loft or couldn’t reach the ramp. Disappointed it was unusable for my cage.

Piggies approved
Colors are bright and the fleece is really soft. It conforms to the loft and ramp with no bunching — the pigs seem comfortable.
