2-Story Wooden Rabbit Hutch and Chicken Coop with Removable Tray
Product description
SPACIOUS TWO-LEVEL LAYOUT: The unit provides a raised sleeping compartment connected by a textured wooden ramp to a roomy ground-level run. The split design gives animals a private, elevated nest area plus a secure outdoor-facing space to hop or scratch around.
REMOVABLE CLEANING TRAY & ACCESS: A deep, leak-resistant slide-out tray is fitted beneath the run for fast waste removal and straightforward cleaning. The hutch includes three lockable access doors positioned to make feeding, watering, and maintenance simple without disturbing the animals.
WEATHERPROOF ROOF & MATERIALS: Constructed from solid wood, the hutch uses a sloped asphalt-coated roof to shed rain and provide UV resistance. The roof pitch helps keep the interior dry while the timber frame offers sturdy support for everyday use.
SECURE WIRE MESH ENCLOSURE: The living areas are wrapped in durable metal mesh to ensure ventilation and visibility while helping to deter common predators. Latches on the doors help keep curious wildlife out and pets safely in.
MOBILITY & VERSATILITY: Fitted with wheels for easier relocation, this indoor/outdoor hutch is intended for small rabbits or a very limited number of hens. Assembly is required and the unit is best positioned on level ground; regular checks of fastenings and weatherproofing will extend its service life.
Pros
- Two-level layout with non-slip ramp
- Slide-out leakproof cleaning tray
- Asphalt slanted roof for weather protection
Cons
- Limited capacity for multiple adult chickens
- More suitable for a single rabbit or small flock
- Requires assembly and occasional maintenance
VerdictThis two-story wooden hutch offers a tidy, weather-resistant shelter with convenient cleaning and access features. The pull-out tray and asphalt roof make upkeep easier, and the wire mesh keeps animals ventilated while protecting them from most predators. It’s well suited to rabbits and a very small number of chickens, but larger or multiple adult birds will likely need a bigger coop.

Good for just one rabbit
Fine for a single rabbit.

Too cramped for adult hens
I liked the build, but my hens outgrew the space and needed nesting boxes. I even removed the roof at one point and they started roosting on top. I’m moving to a larger coop.

Works great for our rabbit, not for chickens
Not ideal if you want to house chickens. Our rabbit settled in quickly and the unit was straightforward to put together.
