8-Pack Steel Bike Tire Levers — 11.5 cm Tire Irons
Product description
Package contents: 8 steel tire levers.
Each lever measures 11.5 cm in length and is fabricated from steel for strength and resistance to bending. The metal is treated to avoid rust and designed for long-term use.
The levers have a smooth, slim profile intended to slip under bead without nicking rims while the ergonomic shape helps pry and hold tight tyres. One end features a flat tip for quick tyre removal and a spoke hook on the opposite side to anchor the lever to the wheel.
Use them to repair flat bicycle tyres, remove stubborn beads, or as heavy-duty replacements for plastic spoons. They work on road and commuter tyres and are handy to keep in a workshop, garage, or repair kit.
Pros
- Very rigid — won’t flex like plastic
- Durable, rust-resistant steel construction
- Slim, rim-safe profile with spoke hook
Cons
- No deep hooked tip for extreme leverage
- Short length may be awkward for large hands
- Tips are thick — can reduce purchase on some beads
VerdictThese eight steel tire levers are a durable alternative to plastic tools, offering stiffness and a slim profile that minimizes rim damage. They’re well suited for routine tube repairs and stubborn road tyres, though some users find they lack a pronounced rim hook and can be short for larger hands. Overall they provide reliable leverage for most tyre changes and are a solid fallback when tougher jo

Too short for larger hands
Handles are too short for my big hands and the tips are thick and smooth, so they don’t grip well. I found them nearly unusable and worry about pinch flats.

Far superior to plastic
These steel levers don’t flex like plastic ones, so they perform much better. I commute daily and have given sets to my family — highly recommend.

Saved a stubborn road tyre job
Essential for stubborn road tyres that plastic tools can’t manage. I used several at a co-op to remove a nightmare tyre and they eventually did the job.

Really tough — no bending
Extremely strong; I won’t go back to plastic. They held up during two recent tire changes and never warped while prying, making the job far easier.

Strong but can slip under high load
I bought these to fit solid-insert wheelchair tyres after my alloy spoons failed. They didn’t bend or break, but under extreme force they slipped out of the rim. Lacking a pronounced rim hook, they won’t hold during the toughest mounting steps, though they’re fine for normal tube tyre work.

Great value and sturdy
Less costly than other metal spoons I’ve owned but works just as well. Used heavy force without any bending.

Metal and robust
Metal construction makes them far stronger than plastic options and a sensible backup to keep on hand.

Well made and reliable
Solid and non-flexing compared with carbon or plastic levers. Smooth edges and quick to use. I keep sets at home, on the bikes and in my workshop.
