hygger 6-in-1 Aquarium Cleaning Kit — Telescopic Tank Tools
Product description
This hygger cleaning kit ships with one telescoping handle, one gravel rake/shovel, one metal algae scraper with protective cover, a flat sponge pad, a right-angle sponge head, a tube/hose brush and a small fish net. Replacement sponges and replacement scraper blades are sold separately.
The main pole is constructed from a carbon-fiber composite for strength and light weight. It extends from about 19.7 inches to 35.4 inches, giving access to tanks up to roughly 2.65 feet deep. The attachments lock to the pole with a spring closure that holds them securely during use; the pole sections thread together and are designed to resist flex and limit water ingress into the shaft.
The scraper blade is stainless steel for scraping tough algae from glass or acrylic (use care near seals). The tube brush has a metal core and stiff bristles for cleaning hoses and tight corners; the gravel rake helps move and sift substrate during partial water changes. The flat sponge and the right-angle sponge are intended for cleaning flat surfaces and awkward corners respectively.
Use the set by selecting the appropriate head, snapping it onto the spring-locked end of the pole and extending the rod to the needed length. After cleaning, remove and rinse attachments and dry metal parts to prolong life. The kit is suited to both freshwater and saltwater tanks and aims to let you clean without placing your hands directly in the water.
Pros
- Stiff, lightweight telescoping carbon-fiber handle
- Wide set of attachments for glass, gravel, hoses and corners
- Secure spring-lock system keeps heads firmly attached
Cons
- Included sponge can be too soft for heavy algae
- Some internal metal parts should be dried to avoid corrosion
- Changing heads can require firm pressure at first
VerdictA versatile cleaning kit that covers most routine aquarium maintenance: a rigid telescoping handle that reaches deeper tanks, a stainless scraper for stubborn algae, angled and flat sponge heads for glass and corners, a tube brush for hoses, a gravel rake for substrate work and a small net. Overall durability and tooling variety earn it high marks for general upkeep, though the included sponge can

Worth upgrading from cheaper knockoffs
After trying a budget set I upgraded to this and noticed a big jump in strength and stability. It feels reassuring while scraping and raking. I docked one star because replacing the pads takes some effort, but overall it outperforms the cheaper alternative.

Good value to keep on hand
A cost-effective option that still feels quality-made. Attaching heads is a bit awkward at first—firm but not difficult—and once on they stay put. More features than some kits, and cheaper than many premium alternatives.

Fantastic all-around tool
Absolutely love this—lots of useful attachments and the telescoping handle is great. The algae scraper is extremely effective and the gravel rake is surprisingly clever. All pieces come in a soft bag so everything is tidy and ready for use on my 40-gallon tank.

Underwhelming pads but useful rake
The sponge material is too soft to scrub glass, so I end up using the razor blade for the tough spots. The substrate rake/scoop works fine, though, and is the most useful head for me.

Very effective, cleans corners easily
Quick and efficient; makes corner cleaning much simpler and faster than before. Overall a very good product.

Mixed results for planted tanks
Used on a 55 gal planted setup with fertilizers and CO2. The pole and heads are sturdy and the spring lock holds under pressure. Some metal parts look like they could rust if not dried carefully. The wide blade was my main draw; it’s handy but not as razor-sharp as disposable razors.

Handy for algae-prone tanks
Placed near bright windows, my tank gets algae quickly and this kit made maintenance manageable. The long scraper clears wall algae fast and the angled sponge reaches corners without stressing the sealant. I stayed cautious around seals but found the angled head especially useful.

High quality, works reliably
Very pleased. The adjustable length and solid attachments don’t come loose like other multi-tools I’ve tried. The scraper, sponge and scoop I used all performed their intended tasks very well.

Great kit but replace the pad
The shaft is rigid and the extras are helpful for routine cleaning. The scrubbing pad included is too soft to remove stubborn algae, so I glued a firmer pad to the holder and it worked much better. Still a good set once you swap that piece.

Sturdy carbon pole
The carbon pole holds its shape well when under load and doesn’t flex much with any of the heads attached. Changing tool heads was straightforward for me. No issues so far.

Solid construction, not flimsy
Feels well-made and substantial. The spring lock makes initial tip swaps a bit stiff, so hold the attachment near its base while fitting. Once secured the head acts like part of the pole with no wobble. The inner metal shaft looks sturdy and the collet-style connection tightens by hand without tools.

Initial frustration, then improved design (updated)
At first I couldn’t remove or replace heads easily and the scrubber was too soft to tackle algae, so I nearly discarded the set. After contacting the seller I received a revamped version with a spring-release system, a beefier handle and larger heads that are far easier to swap and work much better.
