Forceatt 12x14 ft Waterproof Camping Tarp with Poles — Sun & Rain Shelter
Product description
Durable, weather-resistant fabric: The tarp is constructed from 150D Oxford cloth and treated with a PU3000 waterproof coating, offering substantial coverage to shield you from sun and rain. The material is abrasion-resistant and intended to withstand rough ground when used as a groundsheet or picnic mat.
What's included: The package contains one 12 x 14 ft (approx. 3.7 x 4.3 m) tarp, a storage bag, two iron support poles, eight iron stakes (sometimes listed as nails), six reinforced attachment points, and six guy ropes of varying lengths (two at 6 m and four at 3 m). The packed dimensions are about 16.5 x 7 x 6.7 inches and the total weight is approximately 5.6 lbs, making it easy to carry to camp or on a hike.
Support and hardware: The tarp is set up using the two 2.1 m iron poles (17 mm diameter, 1 mm wall thickness) and the supplied guy lines and stakes. Metal grommets provide anchor points at the corners and along the edges. With multiple tie points you can rig the tarp in different configurations (lean-to, A-frame, overhead shelter) to suit sun angle, rain direction or wind.
How it is used: This tarp can serve as a shade canopy over picnic tables, a rainfly above tents, a hammock cover, or a ground cover to keep gear and clothing off damp earth. It sheds water well in ordinary storms and dries quickly in mild conditions. Lightweight and compact when packed, it works for car camping, backpacking where weight is acceptable, backyard shade, and general travel.
Assembly and care: Setup is straightforward but tends to be easier with two people, especially in windy conditions. The supplied ropes and stakes stabilize the shelter; adjusting tension after initial pitch is recommended. If you expect very strong winds, consider using heavier-duty stakes or stronger poles. Customer support is available for questions or issues, and the seller offers a prompt response policy to help resolve problems.

Acceptable value
It’s fine for casual use. Decent value for what it does.

Good sun shelter
Putting it up was straightforward, easier with two people. It handled gusts around 20 mph and rain beaded off. I added orange tape to the guy lines so they’re easier to see.

Highly recommended (translated)
A versatile and reliable weather shelter for outdoor lovers or garden shade. The 3.7 x 4.3 m size covers hammocks, tents or a campsite. Despite the reach it stays light and packs small. Six reinforced tie points let you rig many configurations; the material proved robust, tear-resistant and waterproof — ideal for trekking, camping or bushcraft.

Solid construction
Feels well made. Directions could be clearer, but it survived a weekend of camping without problems.

Dependable over seasons
After a couple of seasons of heavy use I’m very happy. Size covers a picnic table; one pole bent slightly but still works. Pole sections nest so they don’t collapse and extending the ropes is an easy tweak depending on campsite layout.

Kept us dry
First pitch took some planning and we retensioned it after a day. We ran over 24 hours of rain with this over our tent and stayed dry; it dried quickly afterward. Overall a worthwhile purchase.

Poorly finished hardware
Construction felt cheap and the stakes are disappointing. Waterproofing is okay, but it failed in stronger winds and the metal grommets tore out on mine.

Lightweight yet protective
Used it on several trips in rough weather. Thoughtful design, good carry bag and sturdy enough poles and stakes. It stood up to winds and storms without issue.

Useful but takes effort to pitch solo
Bought to cover picnic tables while car camping and used it in both rain and hot sun. The fabric is heavy and waterproof and the grommets held. Poles are strong but basic; stakes are thin 1/8" steel so I used my thicker 8" aluminum ones. One-person setup in a breeze is tricky — two people make it much easier. Height just clears a table or low tent; taller poles and longer guylines would add versatility and a second shorter pole could let you raise one side.

Too small and flimsy
Design let me down. Poles are thin and short, not suited to moderate wind or rain. You can’t stand comfortably underneath and it won’t accommodate a table as pictured. For the cost I returned it and rigged a more durable tarp setup instead.

Tarp is great, poles not so much
The material and size are excellent but the supplied poles are flimsy. We replaced them with stronger telescoping poles and now can pitch it higher. Packs small and is very portable — just be ready to upgrade poles if needed.
