Product description
Includes 16 J-hook rebar stakes, each measuring 12 inches from point to hook. The shaft diameter is 5/16 inch (8 mm). The J-shaped hook measures approximately 3 inches with about 1.6 inches between the back of the hook and the shaft, providing a secure catch for ropes, wire or fabric edges.
Each stake has a chiseled tip to ease penetration into soil. The body is finished in a rebar-like texture to improve grip in the ground and reduce rotation once driven. Constructed of galvanized steel, these stakes resist rust and are suitable for repeated outdoor use.
Use cases include anchoring chain link fence bottoms, securing holiday and yard decorations, holding down greenhouse covers, stabilizing canopies, gazebos and tents, fastening large inflatables, and staking down projection screens. They’re also useful for keeping trampolines, soccer goals, lawn furniture and weed barrier fabric from shifting.
In firmer or rocky ground the pointed end and solid construction let you hammer them in, though heavy short sledge strikes can deform the shaft — driving with steady, controlled blows or using a longer-handled tool is recommended. Solid in soft ground, careful in hard soil
Work great in loose dirt. In compacted sand or gravel they can bend if hammered too aggressively; lighter, steady blows work better. Used for target stands and they stabilized them well.
