    Protective film stuck to ink port

    The small cellophane over the ink opening would not peel off — the adhesive was excessively strong and made installation difficult.

    Cartridges wouldn’t register despite matching numbers

    These cartridges wouldn’t work with my OfficeJet even though the numbers matched. After installing them two showed error messages and I had to swap in genuine cartridges to restore printing; I never see errors with factory HP ones.
