Canon PowerShot SX740 HS Compact Camera (Black) 4-Piece Bundle
Product description
The Canon PowerShot SX740 HS is equipped with a 20.3MP CMOS sensor paired with Canon's DIGIC 8 image processor. Its native sensitivity range covers ISO 100–3200 (with extended options) and the camera supports 10 frames-per-second continuous shooting with autofocus locked, making it suited to fast-moving subjects. The SX740 HS uses optical image stabilization to assist shooting at long focal lengths and offers a Zoom Framing Assistant to help reacquire subjects when using the full reach of the lens.
Optically this model features a 40x zoom lens that covers a 24–960mm equivalent focal range (35mm format). It records 4K video and 4K time-lapse sequences, and framing is accomplished on a 3.0" rear LCD that tilts up to 180° for self-portraits. Wireless connectivity via Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth allows pairing with compatible mobile devices for quick transfer and remote control through Canon’s mobile app.
This kit ships with the imported Canon PowerShot SX740 HS (black) and several accessories. Included manufacturer items are the Canon NB-13L lithium-ion battery pack (3.6V, 1250mAh), the Canon CB-2LH battery charger for NB-13L batteries, and a WS-800 wrist strap. Additional accessories in the bundle are a SanDisk Ultra 64GB SDXC Class 10 memory card, a deluxe padded carrying case, and a microfiber cleaning cloth for lens and screen care.
Pros
- 40x stabilized optical zoom (24–960mm equiv.)
- 4K video and 4K time-lapse capability
- Compact body with tilting 3.0" LCD and wireless pairing
Cons
- Limited high-ISO performance compared with larger-sensor cameras
- Imported units may lack local firmware updates or warranty support
- Fixed lens design; no hot shoe for external accessories
VerdictThe SX740 HS delivers impressive reach and versatile capture in a compact body — ideal for travelers who want long zoom and 4K video without hauling a big rig. Image stabilization and DIGIC 8 keep things usable at full zoom and during 10-fps bursts. Consider an alternate for demanding low-light work or when you need interchangeable lenses or local warranty coverage for imported units.

Warning about imported item/returns
I returned an unused unit after discovering it wasn't intended for domestic sale; the seller applied a 20% restocking charge and claimed it had been used.
