The thermometer is splash-resistant but not designed for submersion; the instructions are brief and imply care around steaming wand spray. Power-saving auto-sleep extends runtime, though the battery is not user-replaceable. As a barista I appreciate the one-button operation and quick on/off. Hold to switch °F/°C. The colored temperature bands are useful when testing different milk types and drinks.
