Loyoda Heavy-Duty Bedside Commode Chair — 500 lb, 23.4in Extra-Wide Seat
Product description
Heavy-duty support: The commode is built on a reinforced steel frame engineered to handle up to a 500-pound load for everyday bedside or bathroom use. The construction is intended to provide a sturdy base and long-term durability.
Comfort and size: The seating area measures 23.4 inches across, offering an extra-wide platform for users who need more room. The seat is padded with waterproof foam and the armrests are cushioned to give a softer handhold when lowering onto or rising from the chair.
Assembly and fit: The unit is designed for no-tool assembly so components click or slide together for quick setup. Leg height is adjustable so you can set the commode to the appropriate level for transfers from bed, wheelchair, or toilet — useful for personal comfort and safe use in tight spaces.
Cleaning and accessories: Included with the frame are a removable commode bucket and a splash guard. The bucket detaches for emptying and rinsing, and the splash guard helps reduce spills when the commode is used bedside or over an existing toilet.
Versatile functionality: This model functions three ways — as a standalone bedside commode, as a raised toilet seat, or as a toilet frame fitted over a regular toilet. That flexibility makes it suitable for bedrooms, bathrooms, recovery rooms, and home care situations where a portable, padded toilet option is needed.
Pros
- Strong reinforced steel frame with high capacity
- Wide, padded waterproof seat with cushioned armrests
- Tool-free setup and adjustable leg height
Cons
- May feel unstable unless positioned against a wall for some users
- Some documentation mentions a different maximum weight
- Bucket placement and lid can be awkward for some
VerdictThis Loyoda bedside commode is built for heavy use: a reinforced steel frame rated to carry up to 500 lb and a roomy 23.4-inch padded seat make it comfortable and stable for many users. Tool-free assembly and simple height adjustment let you set it up quickly, while the removable bucket and splash guard simplify cleaning. Its 3-in-1 design adds flexibility — use it beside the bed, as a raised seat

Sturdy, easy to clean, comfortable
Exceeded my expectations for stability and comfort. The padded seat and adjustable height made long use easier, and the bucket detaches for quick cleaning. Good for bedside use and transfers from bed or wheelchair.

Stylish but unstable in open space
Looks nicer than typical commodes, and the seat is comfortable, but it wobbles unless placed against a wall. The bucket sits too far back and the lid can get stuck, which would be hard for an elderly person to manage. Practicality is an issue for me.

Conflicting weight info
The manual lists a 350 lb maximum, which contradicts the product listing that says 400 or 500 lb. Double-check the paperwork for the correct limit.

Handy during recovery
This chair was very useful for my husband after hip surgery. The waterproof padded seat is comfortable and the frame is stable and adjustable. It’s a bit large, but that’s helpful for bigger users. We used it over our toilet and the removable insert was convenient.

Surprisingly luxe for camping or care
I use camp toilets sometimes, but this model feels much more substantial — heavy-duty materials and an upgraded look. It doubles as a useful aid for mobility as well as a roomy spare toilet for bedside or outdoor use. I like it a lot.

Durable and reassuring after surgery
Following knee replacement, I needed a raised seat and preferred a standalone unit. This commode worked well — easy to assemble without tools, sturdy once the legs were adjusted, and safe to use above our existing toilet or on its own. The padded seat and arm rails gave me confidence.

Reliable and practical
Very sturdy and well built with a solid steel frame that doesn’t wobble. Setup took no time and height adjustments are handy. The cushioned, waterproof seat and removable bucket make day-to-day use easy, and the side rails help with transfers.
