Precision Indexed Rotation: The base offers full 360-degree swivel action with 16 positive lock positions spaced at 22.5° increments. That detented design lets you set booms precisely or swing them out of the way for transit.
Durable Materials and Hardware: Molded composite components resist marine wear while stainless steel fasteners and internal hardware provide corrosion resistance and long life in saltwater environments.
Simple Installation: The mounting plate arrives with pre-drilled and tapped holes so you can install the mount without additional measuring or drilling. Stainless mounting screws are provided so you won’t need to hunt for hardware.
Low-Profile Footprint: The compact, low-profile form minimizes deck intrusion while delivering a rock-solid foundation for manual or electric downriggers. It keeps lines clear and reduces tripping hazards.
System Compatibility and Track Info: Designed to work with the full line of Cannon downriggers, the base also integrates with Cannon’s Aluminum Mounting Track System. The track uses locking grooves to prevent accessory rotation and supports interchangeable components made from durable aluminum. Track lengths are available in 6", 12", 18", 24" and 36" and the track assemblies include mounting hardware to speed setup.

Worth the upgrade
Not cheap for what it is — basically two plates on a pivot — and I wish Cannon included it with an electric rigger. Still, it greatly improves functionality and safety; I nearly pitched over reaching for a boom before I fitted this. Pay up and add it to your rig.

Solid Cannon swivel
Does the job. Comes with stainless mounting screws so installation was straightforward. Pull the T-handle to swivel and it locks into positions as needed. I swing mine 90° out to fish, then aft for travel; it holds up well in ocean conditions on my 19' boat.
