Dog Boots for Hot Pavement and Trails — 4-Pack, Medium
Product description
Comes as a set of four booties to protect both front and rear paws during walks, runs, hikes, canicross and training sessions. Each pack contains four sock-style covers sized to fit—check the manufacturer’s size chart to ensure a snug fit before ordering.
Construction combines a stretchy, breathable textile upper with a nitrile rubber-coated underside that improves grip and resists moisture on wet surfaces, snow, icy patches, boat decks and indoor floors. The flexible design allows paws to spread naturally, preserving balance and ground feel.
Fastening is via elastic hook-and-loop straps that help hold the booties in place during activity while still being quick to put on and remove. These are intentionally lightweight and not bulky so they don’t restrict a dog’s stride during running, trail work, or everyday walks.
Care instructions: machine wash cold or up to about 30°C and air dry; do not tumble dry. The fabric and rubber coating are designed for repeated wear, but heavy use on abrasive terrain will eventually create wear-through.
Available in multiple sizes including medium. Intended for protection from hot pavement, salt, gravel, sharp rocks and rough trails; they are especially useful for dogs that need routine paw protection in changing weather and terrain.
Pros
- Flexible, natural-feel sock construction
- Nitrile-rubber coating for grip on wet surfaces
- Lightweight and easy to secure with Velcro straps
Cons
- May wear through with very heavy or abrasive use
- Not fully waterproof where the fabric meets the sole
- Fit can be tricky—check size chart carefully
VerdictThese four-piece, sock-style dog booties offer flexible protection for active dogs across varied terrain. The nitrile-rubber coated outer adds traction on wet or slippery surfaces while the breathable fabric and elastic closures support natural movement. They’re comfortable for many activities but may wear faster under very heavy use or require careful sizing for a secure fit.

Good product
Works well and slips on fairly easily over my dog’s paws; holds in place during walks.

Tight fastening required
The straps must be pulled tight or the boot falls off. They need frequent adjustments and removal.

Excellent for winter salt
Solid winter paw protection for heavily salted sidewalks. Fit matched the measurements and the material has held up across long winters. Easy to put on and they stayed on my dog in the snow all season.

Sole failed immediately
Very disappointing — the rubber sole scraped away and holes appeared after a single walk on gravel. Feels cheaply made and didn’t protect at all.

Very protective
My dog walks quite well while wearing these.

Durable through a year of use
These have been a lifesaver for my dog with sensitive feet on rocky trails and hot pavement. She waded through deep mud the first day and came out with all four still on. They slip off sometimes if I don’t fit them perfectly, but after a year they’re still holding up well.

Mostly stay on but not waterproof
They outperform many other styles at staying put, though he still manages to kick one off occasionally. I’ve had the best results using a sock under the boot. They aren’t fully waterproof and the paw area can be wide enough to trip if not fitted high enough.

Comfortable and flexible for allergic paws
My golden retriever licked his paws constantly until we tried these. They’re roomy enough for his paws to spread and feel much more comfortable than stiff alternatives. They slipped off a few times at first until we found the proper tension, then worked reliably unless he was sprinting hard.

Protective and comfortable
Very effective in snow and on rock salt; they kept my dogs’ feet dry and stayed on better than other brands I tried. Easy to put on and adjust. Quality feels good and the dogs are comfortable—wish there were more color choices.

Poor fit for my dog
I followed the sizing guide but they were too roomy and acted like loose socks that didn’t stay up even when tightened. My dog disliked them and I wasn’t able to use them before the return window closed.

Great protection, limited lifespan with heavy use
Perfect for hikes and bike rides over rough gravel and quartzy desert rock — they stay put and don’t rub like stiff boots. However, my active dogs wore holes in them after several long outings; once punctured they trap grit and can’t be used.

Flexible and protective
Impressed by the combination of flexibility and toughness. They never slipped off my active Malinois front paws, though the rears were a bit loose and I’ll try a smaller size next time. I’ll opt for the longer cut for trail running.
