Blue Buffalo Chicken & Spearmint Large Daily Dental Chews — 14 ct
Product description
Designed as a functional chew, each piece features roughly 50 ridges and grooves intended to scrape away plaque and tartar as a dog chews. The chews are flavored with spearmint to help freshen breath while the honeycomb-like shape supports healthy teeth and gums during daily use.
This listing contains one 22-ounce bag with 14 large chews — a supply aimed at dogs 50 pounds and up. The format is intended for one chew per day and for intermittent or supplemental feeding only, not as a full diet replacement. The pack size is commonly considered about a two-week supply for daily use in large animals.
Formulation highlights include real chicken as the primary flavor source and the exclusion of meat or bone meal, artificial flavors, artificial preservatives, and common fillers like corn, wheat, and soy. The company indicates the product was developed with veterinary input to support oral health as part of routine care.
Digital product imagery has been refreshed to emphasize ingredients and benefits; physical packaging may look slightly different but the product details remain accurate. In a March 2024 customer survey, roughly four out of five participating dog owners said they preferred these dental chews over another treat they were using, reflecting owner satisfaction in independent feedback.

They really work
I didn’t try one myself, but our 8-year-old Lab can’t get enough and her teeth look much brighter after regular use.

More of a treat than a dental fix
They didn’t make a dramatic difference in dental health for my pups, but they enjoyed them as a tasty snack.

Noticeable improvement over time
After giving these for a while I’ve seen better oral health in my dogs. Their breath is less offensive and the vet commented their teeth appear cleaner. They enjoy the taste and the ingredient list seems thoughtful, so it feels like a quality choice.

Doggie approved for large breeds
I trust the brand and bought the large chews for my German Shepherd (over 50 lb). I give her one occasionally for maintenance and she loves them. I’ve seen fresher breath and slightly less tartar. Made in the USA with quality ingredients and without meat/bone meal, artificial flavors, preservatives, corn, wheat or soy. The textured ridges seem to help remove plaque, and the chicken-spearmint flavor is a hit with her. Be cautious if your dog has sensitive or damaged teeth.

Terrible smell, but pup-approved
Full disclosure: they smell awful to me — a strong, fishy dog-breath type odor when opening the bag. Despite that, my picky eater devours them and gets a solid chew. The size felt awkward for my pup, so I may try a different brand for convenience, but if your dog likes bold flavors these will do the job.

Won’t repurchase
The pack lasted a week and then I saw troubling information online about potential risks; that concern is enough for me to avoid buying them again.
