Cricut Joy 2 Deluxe Bundle — Coral Compact Cutting Machine
Product description
What’s in the box: the compact 4.5 in (11.4 cm) cutting machine and a Deluxe Bundle of crafting materials and tools. The bundle typically includes rolls of Smart Vinyl and Smart Iron‑On, sheets of value cardstock, several insert card sets for cardmaking, printable vinyl for full-color stickers, and a few accessory items to get started. The included supplies are sized and selected so you can make a range of small projects straightaway — manufacturer guidance estimates enough material to produce up to 55 projects using the kit contents.
Design and build: the unit weighs just over 2 lbs (0.91 kg), making it easy to leave on a desk or to tuck away when not in use. Its cutting capacity is limited to a 4.5 in (11.4 cm) width, which suits cards, stickers, small decals and labels but isn’t intended for large-format work. The machine is built to handle more than 75 materials, covering common vinyls, heat-transfer materials, printable sheets and cardstock. It operates with a selection of tools to write, draw, foil, score and cut delicate shapes with precision.
Full-color sticker workflow: pair your home inkjet printer with the printable materials in the bundle to produce colorful, photo-like stickers. The software recognizes printed outlines and the machine can cut precisely around inkjet-printed images, so you can design on a PC, tablet or phone, print, then load the sheet for cutting.
Connectivity and software: connect wirelessly via Bluetooth to the Design Space app on mobile or desktop. The app provides guided steps, templates and a content collection to help you assemble projects without advanced design skills. The out-of-the-box content offering includes thousands of images and hundreds of fonts and starter projects; additional digital content is available a la carte or through a subscription option for expanded libraries.
How it’s used: this machine is tuned for quick personalization tasks—making custom cards with insert sets, labeling pantry items, cutting small decals for home organization, and producing heat-transfer designs for fabric. Because of its transportable size, it’s convenient for crafting in limited spaces and for spontaneous, last-minute projects.

Compact, cheerful, and ready to craft
I’d borrowed a machine for a while before buying my own, and I’m glad I chose this model and the deluxe kit. It tucks neatly on my desk and stashes away easily when not in use. The coral finish is bright and modern rather than clunky.
The bundle offers a sensible assortment of tools and media so I could start projects immediately without buying extras. I’ve used adhesive and heat-transfer vinyl for labels and matching family shirts; practical projects have been the most useful so far.

Fast, fun, and simple to use
I tried the iPad app and it connected instantly. The guided tutorial doubles as setup help and the cutter is impressively quick. Watching it work sparked lots of project ideas. The kit includes matching papers and materials that align well with the app’s starter projects. The detachable plug is a smart touch for portability.

Lightweight and practical for cards
I already own a larger cutter and bought this to leave out for card projects. It arrived quickly and is light enough to keep on my desk. The bundle includes paper and smart vinyl that are helpful for first projects. Setup is quick, directions concise, and the package included an extra blade and two long mats plus a card mat. Downsides: no protective cover for the mechanism, so it may get dusty, and it’s limited to small-format cuts.

Not as hand-holding as advertised — mixed for beginners
I come from a software background but I’m new to crafting. The machine arrived well-packed and the build quality is fine, though the bright color feels less professional for an office setting. Setup was doable but I expected more guided help for absolute novices. The software can be confusing and some desired features are limited unless you buy extra content or subscribe. Overall a mixed experience for someone needing a very guided, beginner-centric flow.

Solid hardware, iffy ecosystem
The machine performs adequately for the price, but the software and content strategy are frustrating. Features are increasingly gated behind a subscription and the app can be unreliable. Good for casual crafters, less appealing for makers who want open, feature-rich tools.
