55-Gallon Contractor Trash Bags — Heavy-Duty Liners
Product description
Each pack contains 40 black contractor-grade trash bags presented in a perforated dispenser box for compact storage and easier removal.
The liners measure 36 inches by 56 inches, giving each bag a 55-gallon capacity suitable for roll-out bins, large yard waste, and construction debris. The material is a thick 2-mil polyethylene designed to resist punctures and tears common with heavier loads.
These bags are intended for heavy-duty household projects, garage or yard cleanups, and light to moderate construction waste. Their dark color helps hide contents when transporting or staging waste, and the sturdy film allows for secure tying and lifting of full bags.
The bags ship joined on a roll with perforations between them so you can tear off one at a time from the box. While the film is thicker than standard kitchen liners, extremely sharp metal or rigid shards can still compromise the bag, so use extra protection or double-bagging when needed.
Pros
- Large 55-gallon size (36" x 56")
- Thick 2-mil film resists tears and punctures
- 40 bags in a dispenser box for neat storage
Cons
- Perforated roll can release more than one bag at once
- Can still be pierced by very sharp debris
- Pricier than basic household trash bags
VerdictThese 55-gallon contractor bags deliver large capacity and robust material suited for big jobs. The 40-count dispenser keeps rolls contained, and the 2-mil black film resists everyday punctures and tears from bulky, blunt waste. They conceal contents and are simple to tie for hauling. Note the perforated connections can make single-bag access fiddly, and very sharp or jagged debris may still breac

Gets the job done
Used these for big yard cleanup and sorting out the shed; they handled the volume without splitting.

Not as rugged as advertised
I expected true contractor-grade strength but found the bags tore when filled with jagged drywall chunks. They may work for bulky, soft items, but sharp or angular debris punched through easily. For heavy, abrasive demolition waste I’d look for a much thicker option or double-bagging.

Works fine
Handy size for stashing oversized items; served well for storing a spare printer.

Love them, but the perforations annoy me
I really like the bags, but the near-invisible perforated seam makes pulling a single bag a chore. I developed a technique—stretch the roll to locate the seam—so it’s manageable, but it’s a repeated small irritation every time I need a bag.

Solid choice for heavy cleanup jobs
These contractor liners are built for large-scale cleanups, offering 55-gallon capacity and a thicker, puncture-resistant film. The 40-count box is convenient, and the dark color conceals contents for disposal or transport. They tie securely and handle yard waste, construction debris, and bulky household items without sagging under weight. Good all-around performance for homeowners and pros doing sizable projects.

Very large and rugged
Very large, durable liners — fit my city's roll cart perfectly.

Big, thick, but the tear strip is tricky
Exactly the size I needed for covering odd items in the garage and keeping dust off. The material feels sturdy and resists ripping during normal use. They come linked with perforations, which can be hard to spot; I’ve pulled two at once a few times before finding the tear line. They cost more than cheap bags, but the protection is worth it for bulky storage.
