18in x 25in Manual Bilge Pump 2-Pack — Portable Hand Bailer
Product description
Two pumps and two hoses included: this set contains a pair of identical hand bilge pumps and two flexible, removable hoses approximately 25 inches long. The compact body of each pump measures about 18 inches and is sized to stow under seats or inside kayak hatches.
Durable, marine-ready materials: the assemblies are molded from impact-resistant, leakproof plastics formulated to resist corrosion in both saltwater and freshwater environments. The pump bodies are intended to float if dropped, and each unit features an ergonomic, textured handle to keep a secure grip when wet.
How it works and hose attachment: the pump uses a plunger-washer style action that forces water upward and out through the hose for efficient manual drainage. The hose is designed to press into the discharge port and hold under pressure; the fit is intentionally tight to prevent slip-off and reduce splashback when routing water over a boat rail.
Versatile applications beyond boats: while optimized for bilge use in kayaks, canoes, dinghies, and small boats, these hand pumps also handle household and garden tasks — draining inflatable pools, emptying rainwater from buckets, removing standing water from backyard ponds, transferring water for gardening jobs, and other small emergency drainage needs.
Pros
- Floats if dropped and grips well when wet
- Fast manual drainage with plunger-washer design
- Comes with two pumps and detachable hoses for backup or sharing
Cons
- Hose requires a firm push to seat securely
- Some units show inconsistent build quality
- Hose clip may not fully secure the entire length
VerdictThis two-pack delivers strong, manual water removal in a compact, floating package. Constructed from robust, corrosion-resistant plastic with an ergonomic non-slip handle, each 18in pump pairs with a 25in detachable hose to route water over the gunwale. Expect a snug hose fit that must be forced home to seal properly — users who push through that initial resistance get rapid, efficient pumping. Qu

Don't trust the 'doesn't fit' complaints — push it in
Lots of negative feedback comes from people who gave up too soon. The hose slides into the pump very tightly by design — you have to press hard to seat it, then twist. Once it's in, the seal holds and the pump moves a surprising volume of water very quickly. If you don't mind a bit of elbow grease up front, this unit performs exactly like a bilge pump should.

Low quality construction
Used them after a month and they showed poor finish—glue around a black tube was oily and came apart. Feels toy-like and not durable.

Might want another option
Does the job OK, but there are better-built alternatives.

Broken out of the box
Both hoses fell apart when I tried to attach them—the end ring detached and the connection failed. Arrived damaged and unusable.

Good value if you need two
Solid performance for the cost, but many users only need one pump rather than a pair.

Looks rough but works well after a struggle
At first the parts looked sloppy and the hose ends seemed uneven. There were no instructions, so I tried twisting then pushing until it finally caught. Once attached it pumps a lot of water fast. With the hose connected it feels bulkier, and the single clip doesn't secure the whole hose length.
