Designed with input from experienced miniature painters, this kit provides a palette of 20 precision-matched, pre-mixed colors intended to simplify realistic shading and lighting on small models. The selection covers skin tones, bases, metallics and shadow shades so new painters can achieve believable depth more easily.
Pigments are ground to a fine consistency that prioritizes opacity without obscuring sculpted details. The manufacturer states that most colors will give smooth coverage in one to two thin layers, reducing the risk of losing fine texture from overloading with paint.
The formula is tailored to bond to typical model-making materials — including injection-molded plastic, cast resin and various metals — creating a secure film on smooth surfaces. For longer-lasting protection and sheen choice, follow up with an acrylic varnish or sealer (sold separately).
Bottles arrive pre-thinned to a working viscosity intended for airbrush application, producing a uniform finish that is often harder to obtain by hand. Dry time is around ten minutes under standard conditions, making layering and glazing practical during a session.
Packing includes twenty 0.67 fl oz (20 ml) dropper-style bottles and three brushes (two fine-point and one broader brush). The droppers help limit drying in the bottle and allow controlled dispensing for mixing or direct application, minimizing waste.
Suitable uses include brush painting, airbrushing, glazing and mixing shades. While the included brushes suffice for general work, specialist micro-detail brushes will improve precision on very small or intricate miniatures.
