POOLPURE CCP420 Replacement Pool Cartridge Filters — 4-Pack
Product description
What you get: a set of four replacement cartridge filters designed for residential pools and spas. Each cartridge is a cylindrical element intended to drop into standard filter tanks and to be rinsed clean for repeated use.
Materials and dimensions: the filter media is a trilobal filtration fabric that provides a large adsorption surface. Each cartridge measures 26 inches in length, has an outside diameter of 7 inches, and top and bottom openings of 3 inches. The usable filter area of each element is approximately 105 square feet.
Compatibility: these cartridges are made to be compatible with Pentair Clean & Clear Plus CCP420 (and related part numbers such as 160301), Waterway Crystal Water 425 (570-0425), SD-00163, AK-60431, Aladdin 20503, and Filbur FC-6470. Manufacturer names and part numbers are listed for reference only; POOLPURE is an independent brand offering compatible spare parts.
Performance features: the trilobal fiber geometry increases surface area compared with traditional fabrics, improving dirt capture and maintaining water clarity under regular use. A patented dirt-locking structure helps trap debris during filtration and then releases it more easily during backwashing or rinsing, simplifying maintenance.
Certifications and testing: these filters have been tested by IAPMO to meet NSF/ANSI 50 material safety standards, ensuring components are suitable for long-term water exposure. The brand highlights real-world testing in athletic training settings and media coverage to demonstrate consistent filtration performance.
Care and use: cartridges rinse clean with a standard hose; trapped particulates are designed to detach during a thorough rinse. The elements are reusable until normal wear necessitates replacement, and routine inspection during service will show when cleaning or replacement is needed.

Durable over several seasons
Bought a set years ago that lasted well, so I replaced them with the same model. They show heavy dirt when serviced, which indicates they are doing their job.

Solid filtration performance
These do a great job. The inner diameter sits a bit tight in my tank but they trap debris and keep the pool looking clean.

Filtration failure — avoid
These allowed fine sand and dirt to pass through in my pool. After multiple attempts to clean and test, the debris kept returning to the water and filtration was ineffective.

Works but pricey
Filter works fine, though I felt the cost was a bit high for a replacement cartridge.
