LEGO City Emergency Air Ambulance Airplane Building Set (Ages 6+)
Product description
This building set contains 403 pieces that assemble into a twin-engine emergency air ambulance designed for children aged 6 and older. The finished model measures roughly 4.5 in (12 cm) tall, 14 in (36 cm) long and 14.5 in (37 cm) across the wings. All parts are injection-molded ABS plastic designed to interlock with other brick systems and withstand repeated handling.
Inside the aircraft is a compact onboard medical lab equipped with monitoring panels, treatment stations and storage compartments. The cabin converts quickly to hold a patient using a fold-down boarding stair and an included stretcher. Accessories supplied in the box include a stretcher, medical bag, syringe, water bottle and other small medical items, plus a snow scooter for mountain access. Also included are a windsock and a small airport scene to stage landings and takeoffs.
The pack comes with four minifigures — a pilot, a doctor, a paramedic and a skier — so children can enact multi-role rescue missions: fly to remote slopes, reach an injured skier with the snow scooter, stabilize the patient and transport them in the air ambulance. The set connects visually with other City kits for larger emergency networks. For builders who like digital guidance, the companion building app provides 3D viewing tools and step tracking to simplify assembly.
Pros
- Engaging accessories and multiple minifigures
- Detailed interior medical area with working boarding stairs
- Durable ABS bricks and realistic moving parts
Cons
- Some small doors and hinges can be fragile
- A few components feel delicate for rough play
- Not a long, highly challenging build for older kids
VerdictWell-designed and engaging for young builders who enjoy rescue play: sturdy ABS bricks, realistic moving elements and a useful mix of accessories create vivid mountain-rescue scenarios. Some small doors and hinges are a bit delicate under heavy play, but the set offers long-lasting imaginative value and a satisfying build for the target age.
