Iron Bull Strength 7mm Knee Sleeves (Pair) — Compression Support for Lifting
Product description
What you get: one pair of 7mm neoprene knee sleeves sized to your measured knee circumference. The sleeves are sold as a matched pair for both left and right knees.
Materials and build: constructed from 7mm neoprene — thicker than the common 5mm sleeves — these provide deeper compression, greater joint warmth, and more resistance under heavy load. An anti-slip inner surface helps hold the sleeve in place, while a reinforced band at the top helps prevent rolling or slipping during reps.
Intended use: engineered specifically for barbell and strength work — back squats, front squats, Olympic lifts, deadlifts, leg press, and CrossFit movements. These are designed to stabilize the patella, reduce swelling under load, and support heavier training sessions. They are not optimized for long-distance running or treadmill use.
Fit and sizing: for optimal performance and comfort, measure the circumference around your knee (follow the manufacturer’s measurement guidance) and choose the size from the provided chart. The sleeves are snug by design; expect them to require effort to pull over the calf if you have larger calves. Many users find rolling them on or turning them partially inside out helps placement.
Care and longevity: neoprene provides warmth and compression but, with heavy frequent use, internal materials can begin to break down over many months. Occasional initial synthetic odor is possible out of the box. The product includes an Iron Clad warranty for customer satisfaction and support.
Pros
- Thicker 7mm neoprene for increased compression and warmth
- Anti-slip inner lining and top band keep sleeves in place
- Designed specifically for heavy barbell and CrossFit lifting
Cons
- Can be challenging to pull over large calves
- Interior foam or lining can show wear after extensive use
- Some users notice an initial synthetic smell
VerdictThese 7mm neoprene knee sleeves deliver firm compression and joint warmth for serious lifting. The anti-slip interior and top band minimize shifting during squats and dynamic lifts. They offer strong support and improved depth for many users, though some report interior wear after heavy, long-term use and a brief synthetic smell at first. Accurate sizing is important; the pair is backed by a warra

Finally ones that stay put
They fit tight and don’t slide — the best I’ve found after trying several other sleeves. Well made and comfortable. My son tried mine and liked them so much I’m getting him a pair for the holidays.

Dependable support for an experienced lifter
As a competitive lifter now in my sixties with past knee surgeries, these give the stability and confidence to handle heavier loads. They compress well, are reasonably easy to put on, and do not slip during full-range lifts. I prefer starting with the smaller opening first to slide them up comfortably.

Great while they lasted
Worked very well for most of their life. I used them for around 200 CrossFit classes over a year; they began to break down after about 150 sessions but still offered some support until they were done. As a first pair, I was happy with their performance.

Bought twice — reliable support
I own two pairs: one from three years ago and a fresh pair for the gym. After a childhood knee injury I need extra support on my feet all day, and these do the job. One pair for work, one for training. I also use their elbow sleeves with good results.

Top band really helps
Only one gym session so far, but they were excellent. The top band kept them from slipping and the fit was better than my previous brand. During a long set of walking lunges they showed no marks. Will report back on durability — I’m hard on sleeves.

Good quality despite lacking silicone grip
They don’t have silicone anti-slip strips on the inside, but they still helped me add weight after ACL surgery. Watch sizing conversions closely — measurements seemed off for me. Overall, solid quality.

High-quality sleeve, strong recommendation from me.

Big step up from thin fabric sleeves
These feel far more solid than the cloth sleeves I used before. At 48 and three years into CrossFit with long-running knee issues, I finally noticed real difference: deeper knee warmth, better support, and increased squat depth. They’re flexible enough for cleans and snatches, but getting them over big calves took some effort despite following the sizing guide.

Lasted about a year with regular use
Bought mid-2024 and reviewing after a year of twice-weekly leg days. Comfort and support were excellent and they kept my knees warm in a cold gym. After roughly a year the foam on the inner top began to tear, but I still got solid service for the time I used them. Planning to try a non-foam option next, but I valued the compression.

Very supportive and sturdy
Well constructed and do exactly what they’re meant to do — solid knee support for lifting.

Great value for CrossFit
I use these in CrossFit and they work very well for that purpose.

Keeps knees warm and holds shape
They stay nice and warm, look good in black, and keep their fit after multiple wears and washes. I doubt competing brands feel any better. Only potential issue is a slight initial plasticky smell that fades.
