ER70S-6 .023 MIG Welding Wire, 10 lb Spool — Low Spatter, All-Position
Product description
This product is a 10 lb spool of ER70S-6 MIG welding wire, sized at 0.023 inches. The wire contains elevated levels of deoxidizers to help stabilize the arc and reduce porosity on common mild-steel joints.
Welders will notice a smooth, steady arc that requires fewer adjustments. The chemistry of ER70S-6 is intended to tolerate light surface rust or mill scale on mild steel without creating consistent defects, making setup simpler for routine work.
Each spool is evenly wound to promote clean feeding through feeders and liners, which helps prevent tangles and bird-nesting. The formulation also reduces spatter so there is less grinding and cleanup after welding.
This wire is designed for gas-shielded MIG welding in all positions and is suitable for both professional shop environments and home or hobby projects. The spool arrives vacuum-sealed to protect against moisture; open the package, load the spool, and weld—no additional drying or prep required.
Produced and supported by a locally owned Maryland brand, the product includes the single 10 lb ER70S-6 spool. Support and customer care are available from the manufacturer for setup or performance questions.

Excellent bead quality
With the correct shielding gas this wire lays a clean, consistent bead. Minimal spatter and almost no slag — compares favorably to other ER70S-6 wires I’ve used. The 10 lb spool is convenient to swap in and it’s intended for gas MIG.
