   Pops out if bumped, not toddler-proof

   Contained our little puppy fine, but I wouldn’t trust it for an active toddler. The pressure-mounted frame came loose when bumped and scattered small parts. Our doorway is 36 inches and the frame felt loose; I didn’t want to use screws to avoid damaging trim. The 36" height is convenient for adults to open without bending.

   My favorite gate so far

   Perfect quick solution to keep my walker out of the kitchen. Took a moment to assemble but was intuitive. A helpful sticker warned that gaps before installation are normal, which eased my worry. Easier to use than prior gates I've tried and very satisfactory overall.

   Does the job for animals and kids

   Bought to stop pets from entering the bedroom and it held up well. Metal construction seems sturdy and the bars prevent small animals from squeezing through. Multiple locking options, simple setup, and one-handed operation make it practical. Leaves minimal marks if you avoid permanent mounting.

   Easy for one person to assemble

   I’m 58 and put this together by myself with the small wrench that came in the box. Keeps my two chihuahuas out of bedrooms unless I invite them. The closure is simple and the gate feels sturdy. Later I added mesh guards with zip ties because the rail spacing was a bit large for a new tiny puppy.

   Solid and tall — great for a labrador

   Sturdy, easy to assemble, and tall enough for our labrador to respect. Smooth to open and close; my children learned how to use it right away. We’re fans.

   Good quality but returned due to swing

   Apparent value and felt sturdy; setup was straightforward. Returned it because the door is somewhat narrow and only opens one way, which didn’t suit my high-traffic placement.

   Workhorse gate for a large, calm pet

   Purchase date: 12/2025. Well-built extra-tall gate that secures kids and pets in hallways and thresholds; installation was straightforward.* Likes: Metal frame feels reliable for daily use, extra height keeps taller passive pets contained, lever handle allows one-handed use, includes a 4" extension, pressure-mount avoids drilling.* Could improve: Pressure mounting isn’t ideal for every opening; in busier or rougher use you may prefer screw-mounted cups.

    Keeps cats out of our spare room

    We installed this to block cats from a ventilated room. Instructions were clear though the print was tiny. Mostly metal build feels solid and the latch uses a spring catch that adds security. The pressure mount works so we didn’t have to drill, but screw-mounted cups are included if you want a firmer hold. Note the gate only swings one way unless you flip its orientation when installing.

    Exactly what we needed — even a few grown-ups found it hard to open at first, which was amusing but shows the latch is secure.

    Nice appearance but pressure mount failed

    Looks great and the height is appropriate, but the pressure mounting didn’t hold on my doorway — I had to use screws. If anyone knows a non-screw workaround for weak frames, I’d appreciate suggestions.

    Solid look and smooth operation, may not stop climbers

    I use this at the bathroom door to keep dogs out of a litter area. The latch and hinges operate very smoothly and the gate is heavy-duty. It solved the stepping-over hassle of an older gate and is easier to open and close. Bars might be wide enough for very small animals to get through, so check spacing for your pets.
