21in Rope Perch for Parrots — Bungee Bird Toy (Single Unit)
Product description
This product includes one rope perch with screw-thread mounting hardware for securing into cage bars. The outer layer is woven cotton in multi-colors, treated with non-toxic food-grade dyes, providing a soft, secure surface for birds’ feet. Inside the rope is a malleable metal core that lets you bend the perch into loops, curves, s-shapes, or simple straight runs so you can change the configuration frequently to refresh your bird’s surroundings.
The rope’s comfortable diameter is intended to offer a reliable grip and to reduce pressure on tender toes, while the flexible core keeps the chosen shape until you decide to reshape it again. The included connectors are screw-style fittings that work on many standard cage bars; installation is straightforward and generally takes only moments. Regularly altering a perch’s placement or shape is recommended to maximize enrichment and prevent boredom.
Dimensions: approximately 0.75 inches diameter x 21.65 inches length (Φ ≈ 1.9 cm x L ≈ 55 cm). Suitable for a range of medium-to-large parrots, for example conures, quakers, African greys, macaws, and cockatoos. Use it as a primary perch, a ramp, a swing, or a climbing route — it’s intended to relieve cage stress, promote light exercise, and provide new textures for beak and feet interaction.
Because bars and cage designs vary, confirm that the screw fittings will reach and secure against your cage bars; some customers with wide-bar enclosures have fashioned larger backing pieces to fasten the perch securely. With routine inspection and occasional repositioning, this rope perch can be a long-lasting addition to a bird’s habitat.

Holds Up in a Large Macaw Cage
Sturdy enough for a big macaw's beak and allowed a front-to-back placement with some sag. My bird prefers this for sleeping over wooden and cement options.

A Cage Staple for Multiple Birds
We keep one in each of our three cages; they use it to reach toys and water. I worried about claws snagging but that hasn't been an issue. It keeps its shape and I prefer the screw-thread ends over clips.

Fits Perfectly in My Bird Backpack
The 21-inch size worked great in a backpack carrier once I twisted it to add movement. It’s sold as a single perch, and the thin screw ends fit through the carrier holes when others failed.

Arrived Missing Hardware
The item arrived incomplete — the rings and nuts needed to install the perch were missing, so I couldn't mount it.

Recently Downsized — Thinner Rope and Smaller Ends
I bought longer versions for years, but the latest ropes are noticeably thinner and have smaller plastic ends while length stayed the same. My large bird needs a thicker rope; disappointed.

Check Bar Spacing Before Buying
The perch itself is good, but the included washers and short screw may not reach on wide-bar cages. I made larger backing pieces from wood for a macaw cage. Works fine on narrow-bar cages.

Fell Apart Almost Immediately
I screwed it together and the inner thread unraveled within minutes. Poor construction; felt like a waste.

Broke Shortly After Installation — Not Recommended
About thirty minutes after I installed it, the rope snapped in my large parrot's cage. Very poor quality; I would not recommend it.

Helped a Rescued Bird Regain Stability
I rescued a tiny, injured bird that couldn't stand. Adding rope perches let it hold on and regain balance. This perch provided important footholds during recovery.
