200-Piece Metal Self-Drilling Drywall Anchor & Screw Kit
Product description
Construction and finish: The anchors are stamped from carbon steel and treated with a yellow zinc coating to resist rust and corrosion. The matching screws are made from robust metal and feature a pronounced thread profile to grip and avoid bending while driving.
How it works: Each anchor has ribs that splay outward as the screw is run in. The screw’s deep thread forces the anchor to expand on both sides of the drywall, creating a broad bearing surface behind the board for a secure hold.
Contents of the kit: The package contains 100 metal wall anchors and 100 cross-head, flat-head self-tapping screws (M4 × 30 mm). Because the screws are self-drilling, pre-drilling a pilot hole is typically unnecessary, speeding installation.
Installation steps: 1) Tap the anchor into the marked spot on the drywall; 2) Insert the self-drilling screw into the anchor; 3) Drive the screw until the mounted item is snug and the anchor has fully expanded. Removal is straightforward—unscrew the fastener when needed.
Suitable surfaces: These anchors are intended for drywall and gypsum board and can also be used in lightweight or hollow masonry such as lightweight brick and hollow brick. They’re suitable for hanging framed art, curtain rods, light shelving, clocks, plants, small cabinets, TVs mounted on appropriate fittings, and similar items.
Performance notes: The metal construction gives more predictable holding power than common plastic anchors and reduces the chance of the anchor spinning during installation. Expect a narrow slit-like entry at the surface where the anchor is set; this is normal and part of the self-drilling action.
Pros
- Durable metal anchors with corrosion-resistant coating
- No pilot holes needed — screws expand anchors reliably
- Large 200-piece kit for multiple projects
Cons
- Leaves a narrow, slit-shaped entry at the surface
- Not intended for dense, solid masonry without proper anchors
- May require a hammer to start in very hard drywall
VerdictThis kit delivers reliable, repeatable anchoring for drywall and hollow substrates. Metal, self-tapping anchors with a corrosion-resistant coating expand strongly as the screw is driven, producing a firm connection that outperforms typical plastic plugs. The included M4 × 30 mm screws are designed to fully open the ribbed anchors, making installation fast and predictable. For hanging medium-weight

No-drill mounting for light-to-medium items
Mark the spot, tap the anchor, and drive the screw — no drill required. I hang items around 30 lbs and have had no problems when avoiding excessive cantilever.

Holds firmly — metal grips outperform plastic
I tried many anchors and these surprised me. They bite into drywall, expand widely, and feel far tougher than plastic. With 100 pairs included I won’t need replacements for a long time. They leave a narrow entry slot but resist pullout unless the board itself fails.

Dependable under load
Used them for shelves and heavier mounts. I tested one at 80 lbs and it held steady with no spinning or drywall tearing. Consistent performance gave me confidence.
