16"/400mm USB Lens Heater Strip — 3-Stage Dew Warmer for Cameras & Scopes
Product description
Fast, continuous warming system: The heater uses an upgraded flexible heating element that raises the surface temperature of a lens or scope just above the dew point to prevent fog, dew and condensation during cold or humid shooting sessions.
Dimensions and fit: Total length is 16" (400mm) with an effective wrapped length of about 11.8" (300mm). It will fit barrels with a circumference up to roughly 10.8" (275mm) and a diameter near 86mm, making it suitable for many camera lenses, small telescopes and binoculars.
Temperature control: A built-in regulator offers three selectable heat levels — High (~55–65°C), Medium (~45–55°C) and Low (~35–45°C) — so you can match the output to nighttime cold or damp morning conditions.
Power and cable: The strip runs from any standard 5V USB power source such as a portable charger, laptop or USB adapter. The attached USB cable measures about 4.9ft (1.5m), providing flexibility when positioning power packs during field use.
Attachment and portability: The heater fastens with simple touch-style closures so it wraps securely and adjusts quickly to different barrel sizes. The unit is very lightweight (about 2.6 oz / 75 g), easy to carry, and intended to be a compact addition to photography and observation kits.
Pros
- Stops dew and fog by keeping optics above dew point
- Three temperature settings for variable conditions
- Lightweight, thin and easy to wrap around barrels
Cons
- USB cable may be too short for some setups
- Single strip may not cover camera body and lens simultaneously
- No built-in timer or automatic shutoff
VerdictThis 16" USB lens heater offers a lightweight, easy-to-wrap solution for preventing condensation during long outdoor shoots or observations. It warms steadily above the dew point, works from common 5V USB sources and gives three temperature levels to match conditions. The short USB cord and single-strip coverage may prompt some users to add a second unit for camera bodies or larger rigs.

Thin, flexible and well made
Very good product. Compared with other strips I've tried, the heating section is thinner and softer, which makes it simple to wrap around a lens. Build quality feels solid — I plan to buy another.

Performed in extreme cold
Worked at about -27°F (-33°C) and produced crisp night-sky shots during a 45–50 minute outing. The heater did its job, but the USB lead wasn't long enough to route into my boot; I’ll add a second strip for the camera body.

Even, fast heating — night tested
Fits tightly and warms up quickly and evenly. Noticeably stronger than similar options I've used. Tested down to -5°C and kept working reliably all night.
