PatioZen 80-Gallon Outdoor Storage Bench Deck Box — Grey
Product description
Included items: the assembled panels for the bench body and lid, required fasteners, internal metal support rod(s), a set of assembly instructions and any small hardware needed to secure the pieces.
Materials and finish: Constructed from a high-quality, weather-resistant resin that is polished smooth and embossed with a wood-grain texture to mimic natural planking. The exterior resists moisture and routine outdoor exposure while offering a decorative look that complements many patio styles.
Dimensions and capacity: Measures approximately 51 inches long, 24 inches wide, and 35 inches high, providing roughly 80 gallons of internal storage beneath the seat. The internal volume easily stores cushions, pool accessories, beach towels, toys, and other outdoor essentials.
Security and placement: The lid includes a built-in hole for a standard padlock so you can add a lock if desired. For best performance, place the unit on a level, stable surface and ensure the lid is completely closed to engage the closure points and maintain a weather-resistant seal.
Structure and use: An internal metal rod reinforcement increases overall rigidity and helps the lid function as seating. The unit is rated to accommodate seating weight (up to around 500 pounds), making it suitable as casual bench seating for two to three people. Use it for storage, as extra seating, or as a tidy spot to stage items while entertaining outdoors.
Pros
- Generous 80-gallon capacity for cushions and patio gear
- Weather-resistant resin with attractive wood-grain texture
- Internal metal support lets the lid double as seating

VerdictThis 80-gallon PatioZen deck box blends storage and seating into one weather-resistant unit. It includes the bench shell, assembly hardware, and instructions, and features a textured faux-wood surface, a pre-drilled lock hole, and internal metal rod reinforcement that raises stability and allows the lid to support seated weight. The resin construction resists the elements and keeps belongings dry,

Compact, weatherproof storage unit with secure-closing lid
This smaller storage chest fits neatly into tight outdoor spaces. Panels feel solid, the lid aligns and closes flush, and the textured exterior stands up to changing weather. The lid opens smoothly and lines up with the lock points so you can secure it. Once assembled it stays stable and doesn’t flex in normal use. Inside there’s a reasonable amount of room for smaller outdoor items; walls hold their shape and the base supports contents evenly. Overall, a straightforward weather-resistant box with a reliable, lockable lid.

Good small box for storage or deliveries
I store wood chips for my smoker in this box on the patio — they stay dry and are easy to reach. It’s sturdy enough to sit on and includes a loop for a padlock if you want one. Assembly is simple: snap the sides into the bottom, press front and back, and click the lid hinges into place. For the price, it’s a useful small box for deliveries or extra storage and can double as a seat when needed. No complaints.

Attractive and practical deck box
I was impressed by the construction. Put it together in about ten minutes following the instructions and it looks neat. The box measures roughly 21" L x 17" W x 20" H for this size option and is lightweight yet reasonably solid. The resin panels are a bit thin, so although the manufacturer lists a higher weight rating, I wouldn’t load the lid heavily — I felt safer limiting the weight I put on it. It’s lockable (lock not included), which helps keep kids and pets out of stored items, but it’s not a security-grade safe.

Built solid, tricky assembly if you skip instructions
I tried assembling it without the manual and put the sides together first, which made fitting the bottom impossible. Once I found the instructions the correct method was clear, but after joining the sides it was extremely difficult to separate them — a sign of how tightly the parts lock together. I eventually forced the bottom into place after a lot of effort. Despite my assembly struggles, the finished unit feels very sturdy.
