Foldable Bamboo 7" Toilet Squat Stool for Adults — Squatting Aid
Product description
What’s included: one foldable bamboo toilet squat stool ready to use out of the box.
Construction and foldable design: The stool is built from full, natural bamboo and joined with four premium metal hinges that create the folding mechanism. Each hinge is reinforced with metal hardware so the legs lock securely when opened and fold inward when released via metal buttons. Because it collapses flat it’s convenient to store and takes up minimal space when not in use. A note on care: extreme dryness or humidity can affect bamboo, so keep the bathroom ventilated and avoid stuffing the stool into damp, airless spaces.
Fit and sizing: The inner rim features a U-shaped cutout to clear most toilet base shapes without any permanent installation. The standard 7-inch height is intended for most adults and is matched to toilets with bowl heights around 14–16 inches. An 8.5-inch variant better suits children or taller toilets (approximately 16–18 inches).
Materials, strength and finish: The boards are 0.79 inches thick and composed entirely of bamboo, chosen for durability and a neutral scent. The solid construction is rated to support up to 400 lb without slanting. The foot surface is broader than many alternatives so you can rest your bare feet comfortably.
Safety and maintenance: Two long non-slip strips on the top improve stability and center-of-gravity control during use. The smooth, slightly textured surface wipes clean with a damp cloth and can be rinsed if needed. It resists odors common with some finishes.
Intended benefit and usage: The stool is designed to elevate the feet while seated on a toilet to simulate a squatting angle, which can reduce straining, help with constipation and hemorrhoid discomfort, and generally make bowel movements easier. To use, simply open the legs and place your feet on the top platform while seated. Patent No. D986609S.
Pros
- Natural bamboo construction and sturdy metal hinges
- Folds flat for compact storage
- Broad foot surface with non-slip strips
Cons
- Bamboo sensitive to extreme humidity or dryness
- Some strength required to operate folding release
- U-cut may not sit flush against wider toilet bases
VerdictThis foldable bamboo squat stool brings a more ergonomic position to modern toilets. Constructed from full bamboo with sturdy metal hinge hardware and two long non-slip strips, it’s robust enough to support heavier users while folding flat for compact storage. The 7" model suits most adult toilets (14–16" bowl heights) and an 8.5" option is better for higher seats and children. The U-shaped inner

Would recommend
Arrived assembled and looks good. Non-slip pads keep it steady. Legs lock in place and it tucks out of the way when I don’t need it. I just leave it beside the toilet.

High-quality build
Well-constructed with good hinges that snap into place. The cutout shape lets it sit close to the toilet and the craftsmanship feels solid. Very pleased with it.

Exactly as shown. Solid build and attractive wood finish. The spring-assisted folding works reliably.

Feels natural and durable
After reading about posture benefits I tried this and it closely reproduces a natural squat. It took a couple uses to adapt, but now my bowel movements are easier. I prefer the wooden look over plastic; it’s sturdy and conveniently folds away.

Solid, attractive, and folds flat
I appreciate that it's wood, not plastic, and looks nice in my bathroom. The folding action was a pleasant surprise — the metal hinges feel firm and secure, and small release buttons let the legs fold without catching my fingers.

Very satisfied after years of use
I bought one three years ago and it has held up to daily use. It’s heavy enough to feel secure under my feet and very simple to open. The finish has tolerated bathroom steam well and the color fit our decor. I liked it so much I bought a second for the other bath.

Fantastic during pregnancy
My midwife recommended a stool during pregnancy and this has helped a lot. It’s easy to clean, solid, and didn’t have strong chemical smells. Some assembly was required for me; the weight is balanced so it doesn’t slide but can be moved for cleaning. I ended up preferring the lower setting for a flat foot position.

Excellent wood quality but fit issue
The bamboo is very well made. The curve isn’t deep enough to snugly fit against my toilet’s wide base, so I have to store it upright beside the bowl; a different model with a shallower build fit better against my toilet.

Now indispensable at home
We put one in every bathroom. I was skeptical at first but after trying one I noticed a real difference immediately. It’s pleasing to look at, stores compactly when folded, and tucks neatly against the toilet when not closed all the way.

Sturdy but folding takes effort
Very solid and well built; I can even stand on it as a footrest. The fold feature is handy, but pressing the release button requires some force, which is why I docked a star.
