Marine
Dual MXP152B Marine Bluetooth Stereo with 6.5" Speakers & Antenna
Product description
Built for saltwater and outdoor use, this marine audio kit includes a Bluetooth media receiver, a matched set of 6.5" weather-resistant marine speakers, and a dedicated marine antenna. The enclosure and components are molded from high-temperature, UV-stable resins to resist sun-induced degradation, and the receiver sits inside an electro-deposition (EDP) chassis that adds a corrosion-resistant barrier.
A transparent protective coating — marketed as Marinizination — encapsulates interior circuit boards to slow down corrosion from moisture, dust, and condensation, creating a multi-layer defense intended to extend service life in harsh marine environments. The speaker grilles and baskets are constructed for outdoor exposure and are sized for a 6.5" cutout.
For on-deck usability, the receiver offers Bluetooth streaming compatible with Apple and Android devices and allows basic transport control directly from the head unit. The front panel includes a high-contrast 8-character LCD with white characters on black for clear visibility in bright sunlight and at night.
Installation is typical for marine audio: mount the receiver in a dash or console cutout, run speaker leads to the included 6.5" speakers, and connect the supplied antenna for radio reception. Power and ground connections follow standard 12V marine wiring practices. The manufacturer provides a standard one-year warranty, and registering the product extends coverage to two years for added peace of mind.
Pros
- Marine-grade protection for internal electronics
- Bluetooth streaming and simple track control
- Sunlight-readable 8-character display
Cons
- Speakers can be underpowered for very noisy boats
- Documentation and installation images are sparse
- Stated wattage is peak value rather than sustained output
VerdictA durable marine audio package that pairs a Bluetooth-capable receiver with weatherproof 6.5" speakers and antenna. Its multi-layer protection — UV-resistant resins, EDP chassis and a transparent Marinizination film — helps preserve internals in saltair conditions. The sunlight-legible 8-character display and simple phone streaming make it handy for boats, though some users may want louder or high

Wattage claim is misleading
Instructions and photos were vague. The 50W-per-channel spec is peak; real sustained output felt much lower, so it lacks power at max volume.

Kept the head unit, changed speakers
Head unit performed well but the speakers lacked the punch I wanted. I kept the receiver and swapped in louder speakers.

Great sound out on the water
My husband installed it and called me during our first fishing trip to tell me he’d turned it up — it held up well on the lake and sounded crisp enough for us.

Works as expected
The manual was light but wiring was straightforward. Replaced an older Dual unit and the audio quality is noticeably good.

Picture is very deceiving I was expecting it to be way bigger. It is the size of 5/5
Clear audio and solid build
Bought for my husband's boat and he really likes it. Radio reception is clear, Bluetooth streams fine, volume gets high without rattling and speakers mounted neatly.

Major upgrade from old cassette deck
Replaced my cassette radio and worn speakers. The illuminated Bluetooth receiver is great and the speakers can be heard over my 150hp outboard.
