Organic Cotton Mesh Laundry Bags — 3-Pack (Large, Medium, Small)
Product description
Set contents and fabric
This kit contains three mesh laundry sacks in large, medium and small sizes, all woven from GOTS-certified organic cotton. The open-knit mesh lets water and detergent pass through freely while keeping smaller garments grouped together during washing and drying. Because they are made from natural cotton instead of synthetic fibers, they do not shed microplastics into wash water or dryer air.
Certification and manufacturing
The cotton used carries the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification, which covers environmental stewardship and social responsibility across the supply chain. GOTS requires organic farming practices as well as fair labor and safer working conditions during production. The design is credited to a California-based team and the pieces are manufactured in India under those certification standards.
How they protect clothing
These bags are intended to reduce stretching, snagging, tangling and abrasion from metal zippers, buttons, hooks and other hardware. They are useful for socks, bras, lingerie, delicate blouses, and other small items that might otherwise disappear into larger garments or get damaged during agitation. The double cotton drawstring closes and ties into a bow, keeping items contained without introducing noisy metal pulls or plastic cord locks that can rattle in the dryer.
Quality and care expectations
The construction aims to balance durability with breathability; the cotton mesh is sturdy but behaves differently than polyester alternatives. Users often prefer them for a plastic-free laundry routine and for quieter dryer cycles. Because the ties are cotton, they can remain damp after drying cycles and may require extra attention when untying. The brand positions these bags as long-lasting, thoughtfully designed accessories tested for everyday use.
Pros
- GOTS-certified organic cotton mesh
- Keeps small items together and reduces snags
- Drawstrings avoid metal or plastic hardware
Cons
- Cotton ties can be hard to untie when wet
- Less abrasion-resistant than some synthetics
- Drawcord may stay damp after drying
VerdictThese organic cotton mesh laundry bags offer a microplastic-free alternative to nylon or polyester wash pouches. The set includes three sizes so you can separate small items, protect delicate hardware, and keep socks from vanishing into large loads. GOTS certification signals attention to environmental and worker protections, and the cotton drawstrings eliminate rattling hardware in the dryer. Exp

Closing cord holds moisture and is difficult to open
Good capacity, but the thick closure cord stays wet even after dryer time. That makes reopening the bag tricky; the cord material needs rethinking.

Works great for pool toys
Using the large bag to store and air out pool toys has been perfect. The mesh breathes well and the drawstring keeps everything contained.

Clean, plastic-free option
Solid construction and a welcome replacement for plastic pouches. They can be harder to untie when soaked, but worth it for a plastic-free routine.

High-quality fabric but ties need improvement
The cotton is heavy and well-made, which I appreciate. However the long cotton ties twist with other items during the cycle and become very hard to untie when wet. If a zipper option existed, I would buy them again to avoid synthetic meshes.

Appears synthetic, not cotton
This felt shiny and plastic to me rather than cotton. It arrived without any GOTS tag and the double-drawstring feature I expected was missing, so it did not match the listing.

Does its job for storage
We use these with cedar for winter clothing and in storage. They perform adequately.

Smaller than expected
Bags are more compact than I anticipated — useful for tiny items but not roomy enough for larger pieces.

Exactly what I wanted
I’ve been using mine for months and it still looks good. The ties do tangle occasionally, but I prefer the natural fiber construction.

Tore after a couple of uses
I appreciate the all-cotton construction, but one bag ripped the second time I ran a delicate cycle. Disappointing durability.

Hard-to-find cotton wash bags — overall very satisfied
Updated Oct 20, 2022 — These cotton wash bags have been great so far. I hunted for a non-synthetic option and this brand was one of the few available. They arrived in a simple envelope; I bought two larges to test and would order more based on this performance. I primarily wash in cold water and have not had trouble untying the drawstrings even when the bags were wet. After the first cold wash (no dryer) the two bags kept their original size. I like that they avoid adding microplastic fibers into clothes and water, though cotton will probably wear differently than polyester and may not last as long. Still, they do the eco-friendly job I wanted.
